Frequently Asked Questions

Here is some general information and some of the most commonly asked questions we receive from people looking at installing a Plungie pool at their house. If your question is not answered here or elsewhere on the website, please get in touch with our team to discuss further.

Is a Plungie pool suitable for my property?

This generally all comes down to access for the crane and the proposed placement of the pool. The team at Branching Out Co. are happy to take a look at your address online to have an initial check if it looks like a Plungie will work for you before sending out your initial estimate.

There are several factors that we review to assess the suitability of a Plungie pool for your property, to find out more please contact our team either by filling in the contact form or give the office a call on 02 9905 6717.

What colours/finishes are available?

Plungie pools come pre-finished with an internal high-performance thermo polymer coating which they call ecoFinish. There are 6 options to choose from: Kona Coast, Sahara Sand, Mediterranean Blue, Blue Lagoon, Grey Reef and French Grey.

You can also choose to fully tile your Plungie pool, we can arrange for the pool to be delivered without the ecoFinish so that we can have the interior completed in a tile of your choice. We can also install waterline tiles in conjunction with the interior finish.

For more details on ecoFinish, please CLICK HERE.

What about the pool equipment?

We source the pool equipment from our trusted supplier, Reece Plumbing. Details on the equipment pricing, which includes our installation costs, will be provided in your initial estimate. We can also offer upgrades to an Eco equipment package and a Smart Eco package, as well as adding a robotic pool cleaner if desired.

More details on the equipment package options can be found HERE.

What add-ons are available?

There are several options available that can be added to your Plungie pool including:

  • Heating - both Gas and Electric heaters available. If you aren't sure about a heater, we can also include running provisions for a heater so that one can be connected at a later date.

  • Spa jets - with the choice between Manual and Automated packages, the addition of spa jets adds that little bit of luxury to your new Plungie pool.

  • Fencing Ferrules - you can opt to include ferrules for attaching your glass pool fence directly to the shell of the Plungie pool.

  • Waterline Tile Provisions - you can opt to have your ecoFinish stop at the bottom of the skimmer box to allow for easier installation of your chosen waterline tile.

  • Construction Cover - if you are installing your pool prior to other construction works we can order your Plungie Pool to be delivered with a pre-fitted construction cover to protect your pool interior whilst other works are being completed.

What installation options are there?

The Plungie pools can be installed fully in-ground, partially above-ground or fully above-ground – we can help you to work out which is best for your property. We hold a builders license and have a team of qualified builders and landscapers so as well as installing the pool we can also complete any other works around the pool – paving, decking, retaining walls, privacy screens etc.

What approvals do I need to install a Plungie pool?

There are two approvals options which could apply, either CDC (Complying Development via a private certifier) or DA (Development Application via council), this will depend on your property location, any specific planning controls that may apply and what other works are being installed at the same time. Branching Out Co. offer an in-house approvals management service where we can take care of all of this for you.

For more information on the approvals process please CLICK HERE.

What about plans or landscape designs?

We have an in-house qualified landscape designer who can draft your plans for approvals submission. You will need to have a landscape plan drafted showing the proposed location of the pool as well as any other landscaping works to be undertaken at the same time, ensuring any details required for approvals are noted on the plan. We take care of all of this for you as part of our Design and Approvals stage.

For more information on the design process please CLICK HERE.

How much will it cost to install a Plungie pool?

The retail price of the Plungie pools is set by Plungie, for current prices please get in touch with our team. The costs for installing a Plungie pool are site specific and will depend on several factors including the size crane required and access for machinery. If you would like to discuss whether a Plungie pool is suitable for your property and get an initial estimate for the installation, please complete the contact form on our website.

Can I use an existing concrete slab for the pool?

The Plungie pool must be installed on top of a concrete slab as per engineers specifications and in order to receive your final Occupation Certificate for the works, the slab will need to have been inspected before the concrete is poured. These requirements mean we cannot re-use an existing slab. If you want to discuss this in more detail, please get in touch with our team on 02 9905 6717 or email at info@branchingoutco.com.au

Do you come out to look at my site?

Yes, our team will come out to see the site in person. Before that is arranged, we first do some initial checks from the office to see whether the installation looks feasible and we will also send you an initial estimate to ensure the costs are within your expectations. After that, we then arrange for one of our directors to come out to meet with you and discuss the project in more detail. To read more about our process please CLICK HERE.
